Hammarkullen Karnevallen
Hammerkullen Karnevallen 2010
The occasion as usual was a smash, with ASSOCABORG being for a second year in a row, the only representative from the continent, Africa. True to the all round qualities of Cameroonians, we did give our best performance. The ‘karneval’ took place this year from the 28th to the 30th May 2010.
The match past began at noon, and lasted a whooping 5 hours, with every continent being represented, and over 6,000 onlookers. This year, for the first time in the history of Assocaborg, we did the match past in Uniforms, that were bought and sewn in Cameroon, before being shipped to us. The design was from the Grasslands of the Republic of Cameroon. More than 30 Cameroonians took part in the match past, dancing to the tunes of ‘Zangalewa’, Talla Andre Marie, John Minang, Tata Kingue and Petit Pays.
In the evening, it was now time for us to show our dense cultural diversity to the audience, when Mayo Daniel and his dance group took to the stage to perform ‘Mbagalum’, Bakweri dance (‘Cha Cha’), and ‘Ben-skin’.
